AMAC Student Advisory Committee Structure

The Alternative Media Access Center operates with the insight and support of a diverse Student Advisory Committee. The Student Advisory Committee will offer guidance and direction to the Director of AMAC. The Student Advisory Committee will be comprised of 6-10 students and who will be selected from AMAC member post-secondary institutions in Georgia.

Requirements of Student Advisory Committee Members:

  • Membership-term is two years.
  • Attend three of four quarterly meetings each year. Remote attendance will be offered as an alternative.
  • Participate in one of the following during the two year term:
    • An annual state wide conference
    • Represent AMAC at a key conference or meeting
  • Assist in governing the AMAC initiative through the implementation of policies and procedures laid down in the AMAC by-laws.

AMAC will provide conpensation for travel to committee meetings as well as support for attending conferences related to the AMAC initiative.
